The Davison family had a tough time getting their act together over Christmas break and into the New Year. We are all sick, with Marlee bringing up the rear this weekend. The good news is we did not go anywhere, so there was plenty of time to rest and recuperate. When we had flashes of energy we baked and played with all of our new toys.

Here we are decorating the gingerbread men we made, it was awesome!

 Christmas was great, we were very good all year long so we got everything we asked for and more. The best gift; however, was the big play fort for the backyard, which includes swings, a slide, a picnic table, rock climbing wall, and telescope!

 Marlee had a lot more fun this year ripping into her gifts, now that she can talk and understands Santa!

 Another favorite gift were our Creature Power Vests. Here's Marlee making her 

best "creature adventure" face. 

 Not having to drive to a park to swing is RAD!

 The slide is super fast too! 

Our last family adventure before we got back to reality was Butterfly Wonderland. I have to be honest, all those butterflies flying around and potentially landing on me was not my favorite thing in the world, but I did like looking at the fish!

 The only other news I have to report is that I saw my eye doctor again. Everything looks good, my prescription stayed the same and I am spontaneously switching eyes (a good sign my brain is recognizing both of them). I will likely have to patch until 5th grade, but will only decrease my time from here (currently one and a half hours a day). So, overall, great news!
