Hello everyone!

I hope you have been having a wonderful summer! I got out of school the last week in May and have not looked back. Activities have included swimming, my birthday, a visit from Grandma Nessan, lots of play dates with friends, and a handful of doctor appointments.

Saying goodbye to my classmates was hard, but I had a great year at Gavilan Peak. We sent my first year of preschool out in style with a big end of the year party. I am attending a different school next year, but will certainly keep in touch with the friends I made :)

The month of June consisted of appointments with three specialists. The news from my ophthalmologist was not great, as I mentioned before. I am now wearing glasses full time, which has significantly improved the alignment of my eyes. We still work hard every day on eye exercises to strengthen my eyes and improve vision, but my glasses have been a welcomed addition. My orthopedic specialist said everything looks great, I have full range of motion in all my limbs and good flexibility. We may choose to splint my arm at night to help with supination of the right hand (turning the palm upward) and maintaining flexibility. A decision for the next month or two. Unfortunately, after having blood work done with my new nephrologist (kidney doctor), they found I have an elevated creatinine level. So, I head in for an ultrasound this week to make sure my left kidney is growing properly (as the right functions at less than 15%) and will have to do blood work much more regularly. There is nothing we can do to improve the creatinine level, simply stay hydrated and avoid ibuprofen. 

Next up, my birthday! We celebrated with a big group of my friends at Pump It Up, a huge bounce house facility. It was a blast :)

At the beginning of July, my Mom, Grandma Jane, and Aunt Erika headed to Ireland for a week's worth of adventure. Grandma Nessan and my dad took care of us, and boy did we have fun!

 We went to the Deer Valley airport for breakfast and watched the planes take off and land...

 The observation deck was pretty amazing!

 Then we each got to decorate cupcakes for my actual birthday.

 Thanks for coming to Phoenix Grandma Nessan, we had so much fun with you!

 ...even if I did  roar like a gorilla and make this face 8 hours a day!

 We have also had a lot of pool time this summer--upgrading to an inflatable that would fit me :)

 It is a lot of fun!

I've even fit in horse lessons early Sunday mornings with a new horse, named Ryker. 

Before I know it, I'll be back in school working hard. I'll leave you with a couple of cute pictures of my sister, who, by the way, is talking up a storm!

PS I had my five year well check and continue to grow...another four inches this year, and five pounds. Still topping the charts in the 99% (height) and 98% (weight). No shots and a picture of health (minus the aforementioned issues :)).
