Hello!  It has been hot, hot, hot which means a lot of indoor activities.  Luckily, we have stolen a few days under a 100 degrees and got some cloud cover.  Even luckier, one of those days I got to attend a Super Hero play date :)  Mom ditched work, we left Marlee with Inger, and had an entire date day!  It was awesome!!

We all dressed up, I wore my Captain America cape!!

 

We also made masks, I think mine turned out great :)

 

But, hands down, the best activity at the play date was flying kites. 

It was my first time, and I mastered it!

 

I see many more kite flying days in my future (when it cools down a bit) :)

Needless to say, we had a great time!

I worked up quite an appetite, man do I love chips and salsa! 

We ended our date day by playing basketball at the Community Center. 

Mom couldn't figure out why I was more enthralled with the emergency lights than

her mad b-ball skills.  :)

 

In other news, Marlee is still pretty cute.  I DO NOT like it when she sucks, bites, and chews on my stuffed animals, but we are working on it!

 

We made Marlee a crawl ramp, like mine back in the day, because we want her to cross pattern crawl as long as possible.  I'll get some video for my next post, she is really starting to get the hang of it!

We also took her swimming for the first time, she LOVES the water :)  I start swimming lessons today, hopefully I will like them as much as I did last year with Ms. Karen. 

 

And last, but not least, I met Sponge Bob Squarepants!  He was at Costco raining money for the Phoenix Children's Hospital and stopped to snap a picture with me.
