You know, my mom has been fairly negligent about letting me update the blog lately. There have been gentle nudges from my Dad, the occasional e-mail from people in Montana, or simple "we enjoy Vinny's updates!" from friends. However, after attending a regional housing conference this past weekend with several of her long time colleagues, Mom realized there truly are people out there still interested in reading about our crazy life. Brad Shade, this one is for you :)
School has been amazing, from both my standpoint and that of my parents. My teacher, Ms. Laura, is calm, collected, nice, and gives me a big hug every day I'm in class. She understands I need a little extra help cutting circles and that I enjoy routine. She gets that I like to be the boss, but helps me understand playing other people's games can be fun too. She lets me get messy with paint and does not mind if we mix the play dough. On top of the fun stuff, I am really getting good at writing my letters and reading my experience books (books that my parents make about things I really like that are teaching me to read). Bottom line, I enjoy school...and so does my sister. My mom has to bribe her with chapstick and food to get out of the classroom everyday!
I have a lot of girlfriends at school!
Speaking of my sister, boy has she changed. She is talking up a storm, running around everywhere, and copies literally everything I do. I don't mind, except when she steals my superhero capes, or my Kindle, or eats my food. Besides that, we get along well and I'm happy we can finally have a conversation. She says "Vinny funny" A LOT. Yeah, she knows what's up.
We sold our house in Flagstaff the latter part of August, which was the end to a very important chapter in our family book. Cash offer, 11 day closing, with no hassles or mess. As I was standing in the patch of daisies on the back patio, my Mom could not help but shed a tear. When we left Flagstaff we were all uncertain about my future, today we have piece of mind.
In September we went tent camping as a family for the first time with a bunch of friends. It was a blast!! We are back at it in a few weeks, but this time we rented an RV for the heat :)
The month of October brought a lot of family and friends. My new obsession with super heroes has replaced my obsession with stuffed animals. I have several costumes that I dress up in daily to fight crime and eliminate the "bad guys." My Uncle Jake and Aunt Erika made the trip from Montana for Halloween, which we really appreciated. I had several Halloween parties to attend, so I went with a three tiered costume approach, the first I was a cowboy, the second Batman, and the third Captain America.
Pumpkin Patch fun!
This pumpkin was bigger than Marlee!

Cowboy Vinny, party #1!
Posing with one of my best buds from school...Ironman, party #2!
Our annual neighborhood trick-or-treating event. I love my neighborhood friends! Party #3
Best part of Halloween, I got to see my Uncle and Aunt!
November has been great, most notably, my Aunt Erika's Bozeman Hawks team won the first state volleyball title in school history. I heard some language out of my mom's mouth that she says we "just use at home" during a couple of close sets, but it was an exciting championship match that we were able to watch on-line. Congratulations Aunt Erika!
Our Bozeman Hawks Satellite Party
To give Aunt Erika a little extra luck, we sent her a series of cheers. This was my favorite.
Oh, I guess I should also say that Marlee turned two in November. Her party was the bomb, we had a clown come to the house and do face painting, balloons, and dancing.
I am still doing Kung-Fu and horseback riding, and hope to add an all sports class starting in January to hone my ball skills. My favorite TV shows are Wild Kratts and Calliou, and I don't mind a good knock-knock joke from time to time. My eyes are excellent, the glasses are holding my alignment and helping with my gross motor confidence. My fine motor skills are improving in my right hand with a lot of hard work, and I'm still healthy as a horse.
Thanks again for your patience, I promise to update with more frequency :) Happy Thanksgiving.
