Hello!  So much has happened since I last wrote...like a trip to Montana for Easter!! I got to ride on a big airplane; play with all of my cousins; see my Grandma Nessan; my Aunt Erika and Uncle Jake came to town for a day; and I had a blast dying and finding Easter eggs.  It was a quick three day adventure, but I'm so glad I got to see everyone. 

  I was an angel on the plane...as long as I had some crackers, Doc McStuffins,

and Dad's headphones :)

 

I hit the ground running after a late night flight, heck, I didn't even want to change out of my pj's before Grandma and I went for a walk (she got me some new stylin' tiger glasses).

I love those little dogs :)  Aunt Darci let me walk them everywhere and they were a little easier to control than Oly when he is excited!

Let me tell you about what my Grandma did...she hard boiled 144 eggs so each kid

could dye three dozen.  Yeah, she's crazy, but it was REAL fun!!

So did my cousin Cael, but his were WAY more intricate than me and Sam's :)

After attending Easter service you know what else my Grandma did?  She stuffed about 200 eggs full of candy and money and hid them around her house.  Needless to say, I was in heaven!

A mini Snickers bar???  Yes, please!

Marlee's Update:

Well, Marlee is growing up...she hit the five month and 19 lb mark and started solid foods.  Sweet potatoes are by far her favorite to date.  I sure do love her :)

 First meal...started with squash.  We also started her in the Bumbo, but her legs are too chunky now, so we had to buy her a high chair!!

Needless to say, she loves it. 

 

I went to see Dr. Zaki (the kidney specialist) last week when we got home from Montana.  The plan for my left kidney is close observation and proactive maintenance.  That means taking my blood pressure every morning at home, drinking 40oz of fluid every day, avoiding contact sports, and eating right.  In addition to that, we will run tests on my urine and do ultrasounds to ensure everything is on track.  The only other thing we learned is that if I get sick (like the flu) and get dehydrated, I can't mess around.  That means a trip to the ER to get IV fluids.  Here's to hoping everything goes smoothly from here on out. 

 

We had some great friends visit recently, Mom and Dad have known the Skrifvars family since college!

Kensie and I are about the same age.  We took her and her little brother, Kayden, to our neighborhood Easter egg hunt.  It was a lot of fun. 

When we got home, they really wanted to play in Oly's house (after the water table, of course).  I was happy to see them, what a great play date :) 

 

I also saw Bob Doman recently...he was impressed by all of the things I have been learning (I can recite our entire address and count to 20...much more quickly if I have the right reinforcement, I might add).  My left eye is still not converging like we want it to, so we are going to try some pinhole glasses a few hours a day and them reevaluate.  I will continue to work on grip strength and functional use of my right hand, but besides that we are just working on school work.  Good think I love to learn!
