Hello! We have been busy gearing up for summer and enjoying the nice weather before it gets too hot to be outside. That means, my very first real life camp out! I had SO much fun and slept from 8:00pm to 8:30am without as much as a peep. Heck, I even slept through the high school party our neighbor's daughter threw (and my Mom called the cops to have shut down).
Setting up the tent...very excited!
Testing things out before our big night!
Campfire cookout :)
What would camping be without s'mores??
Not bad...not bad at all!
Grandma was here visiting for a week and got to join in the fun :)
All dressed in my camping pajamas and ready to go!
Trust me when I say, I can't wait to do it again :)
I have also been walking my dog, Canyon, a lot!
Here he is with tin foil booties so his paws don't get dirty.
Grandma Jane sewed him some upgrades this week.
Mom has been running some 10Ks lately, we love to meet her at the finish line :)
I decided to go on my own run, so I strapped on my earphones and hit the road!
Marlee loves some of her new found independence in my old Bumbo!
Side note: I can ALWAYS make her laugh.
Well, unfortunately, my Nephrologist (kidney specialist) called us and after combing through 2,000 pages of medical records and imaging, he determined my kidneys developed normally in utero. Usually, this would be good news, but what it means for me is that the damage done to my right kidney happened after birth and the cause is unknown. This also means it could happen to my left kidney...which would (worse case scenario) mean dialysis and a transplant. We meet with Dr. Zaki again at the end of the month to come up with an "aggressive plan" to watch my left kidney and ensure it remains functional.
Well, I better run, have a great week!
