Insteadof disguising the dirty and clean water tanks inside a housing that is trying to look like a spaceship, the tanks just click on top of the base. The height of the base is actually an inch taller that last year's model, but it looks and feels smaller because the space is being used more efficiently.

I do have to acknowledge that the Eufy X10 Pro is still just a robot, and it does have its limitations. It has enough battery for a complete vacuum but not enough to vacuum and mop 800 square feet. Blocking out enough time for it to run the full cleaning routine, plus charging, is annoying. I have to plan my cleaning routines carefully, because the drying time for the mops is three hours, and the half-inch that the mop raises off the ground is not quite high enough to not get my medium-high carpet wet. Its edging capabilities are a bit lacking, mainly because the AI camera is so sensitive. For example, I spilled a full jar of Cajun seasoning on the floor (for testing purposes), and while it cleaned up about 80 percent of the mess, it left quite a bit for me to vacuum up with my Dyson.

This is the first integrated robotic vacuum and mop cleaning solution with a LiDAR sensor fully embedded inside the body - the same technology found in many autonomous vehicles. Dual-Laser LiDAR can detect objects 10m away with a 210 degree angle of view, offering intelligent navigation with accurate obstacle avoidance and path-mapping combined to serve all home-cleaning scenarios.

DEEBOT X2 OMNI has fully integrated AI and sophisticated machine learning capabilities. From now on, your robotic vacuum and mopping cleaner can "learn" and "think" through its upgraded RGBD sensor, to achieve smooth obstacle avoidance and a closer clean.

Using ultrasonic sound, the DEEBOT X2 OMNI is equipped with a powerful 0.60 inch intelligent mop lifting function. The LiftUp OZMO Turbo 2.0 Rotating Mopping system lifts when a carpet is detected or if it passes through a clean area. The suction power is maximized from mopping mode to vacuum mode, supporting your clean home in any scenario.

The new square-shape design with built-in edge detection sensor brings edge-to-edge cleanliness. Each outstretched mopping pad gets within 30 mm closer to corners. The 200mm roller brush boosts the efficacy of single cleaning pass by 19% compared to X1.

Measuring 12.60 inches in diameter and 3.74 inches tall, the super-thin low profile design enables the robotic cleaner to glide underneath sofas and beds with ease, cleaning under the area where dirt hides.

Say goodbye to manual intervention. The OMNI station offers a fully-automated cleaning solution including Auto-Clean with Hot-water Mop Wash, Auto-Empty, auto-drying and self-maintenance. Everytime it starts, your cleaning bot is as good as new.

Through upgraded 3D mapping, the DEEBOT X2 OMNI can now identify and clean specific areas, for example the dirt under the dining table in the living room. You can assign the X2 to clean a designated area no matter what how big the stain is. Simply swipe your finger on the App over the target area and the X2 will take care of it.

The YIKO voice assistant supports multiple voice control scenarios, including conversations with multiple commands, local dialects, offline natural language processing, remote control, cleaning scheduling, and more. YIKO offers a truly effortless and immersive cleaning experience as your one and only smart house keeper.

It sports a removable dust bag and two water tanks on its top (one supplies clean water for the mops and the other takes the dirty water resulting from the base station cleaning the mops). The clean and dirty water tanks have handles, making them easier to transport to the sink for refilling/emptying and cleaning. Ecovacs also earns brownie points with the base station as it now has a fully detachable baseplate, making it much easier to clean (ironically, most robo-vac base stations are a blind spot for robot vacuums).

On a less positive note, however, is the iOS/Android Ecovacs app, which has a few curious limitations. While the map that the T30 generates is accurate and there is an option to edit it, merging or separating rooms was incredibly irritating. During the mapping process, the T30 had somehow combined my study and the hallway, and the app would not let me split them no matter how many times I tried. That said, I was able to add furniture, adjust the floor type, set scenarios (specific cleaning settings on a per-room basis) and name each room.

After a quick and relatively painless setup process, where I scanned a QR code on the T30 using the Ecovacs app, which then paired my phone and my home Wi-Fi with the T30, I was good to go. Total setup time is now just minutes thanks to built-in Bluetooth pairing which makes working with mesh Wi-Fi networks much less of a hassle than with earlier models. Once the T30 had mapped my home, I charged it up and set it to work cleaning while I had a wee lie down and a cuppa.

Initially, it did a terrible job of obstacle avoidance, but this is to be expected. Like earlier Ecovacs models, the T30 uses machine learning to figure out the layout of your home, which means that with each clean, its navigation abilities are hugely improved. After several cleans, object avoidance definitely works as advertised.

The T30 operates fairly quietly, especially on the lower vacuum power settings. Its battery life is also good. I got a full house clean with several returns to the base station for vacuum bag emptying, and there was plenty of charge to spare. Should the battery run low, the T30 can also return to the base station, charge, and then resume the cleaning once topped up.

The Ecovacs T30 is both an affordable and capable wee robotic wonder. Once its machine learning had figured out the layout of our home, it delivered surprisingly decent cleaning results. The smaller base station is also a real bonus, making the T30 easy to place. Combined with its capable cleaning chops and reasonable sticker price, the T30 earns itself a gold badge.

Another big feature is the new Omni Station which has auto dust bin emptying, mop pad washing, tank filling, and auto mop pad drying. All of which the X1 Omni had too, but the new T20 also is the first robot vacuum that has heated water mop pad washing. This should make it even better at removing stains from the mop pads and reducing maintenance.

We tested this and found that it was really good at removing stains, though it was more lukewarm water than hot water. But still, better than cold water. The Omni Station has large clean and dirty water tanks which are easy to remove and empty and, overall, we found the entire bin system operates exactly as it should, giving the user a truly automated experience.

The real value of the auto-lifting pads, though, is that if you have a mix of hard floors and carpets, you no longer have to attach and detach the pads and do a completely separate run in order to mop. You can do it all in one run and dramatically increase efficiency and reduce the things that you have to think about.

Roborock introduced mop lifting on its premium robot vacuums, notably with the S7 MaxV Ultra which dominated top results for both cleaning ability and efficiency for quite some time. Roborock also has a robot vacuum with spinning dual mopping pads. That robot is the Roborock Q Revo. It should make for a great comparison with the T20.

Moving on to performance with its basic job of vacuuming hard floors and carpets, we were incredibly impressed. It has two side brushes and a new anti-tangle brush design which makes it very smooth with debris pickup on the surfaces of hard floors and carpets. It was also above average with vacuuming up deeply embedded dirt in carpets and it had above average scores with certain power metrics like airflow.

This is one of the reasons we like the app feature on the T20 which allows you to send it back to the station more often to clean the pads if you anticipate a very soiled area. But in most cases, with very light dried-on mopping tasks, we think the normal setting on the T20 will work just fine with no streaks.

In the navigation tests, where we do several runs on a fixed floor plan on different power settings, we found that the T20 was more efficient than average. In those tests, we also found that its battery efficiency was better than average.

If you run all the calculations, the T20 can cover around 1700 square feet per charge, which is more than the previous versions and way above average. But take those numbers with a grain of salt, since there are so many variables that can change in your situation.

Moving on to the cons, sometimes the app would freeze up and we had to close it to get it to work, which is probably just a minor bug that can easily be fixed. Also, at one point, one of the auto-lifting pads sort of got dislodged when we removed one of the pads. It was easy to fix by pushing it in and twisting it, but it makes us wonder if there will be some issues with that down the road.

There are three significant differences to be aware of. First, the T20 Omni can lift its mop pads whereas the X1 Omni cannot. Second, the T20 Omni uses heated water to wash its mop pads. Third, the T20 has 6000Pa of suction power whereas the X1 Omni has 5000Pa.

As one of Mashable's senior shopping reporters (but more importantly, the resident robot vacuum expert), I'll be the first one to tell you that there are way too many robot vacuums on sale for Prime Day.

Of the robot vacuums announced at CES 2024 in January, I was most excited to try the Eufy X10 Pro Omni. Not because it does anything particularly unique on its own, but because it took a stab at self-washing and self-drying mopping pads at a price point much lower than any other CES release that offers this feature
