The software has a very simple interface so all the users can easily perform the conversion, you need ti simply Enter the credentials of your Yandex mail>> Click on login>> Select saving option >> Click on convert and perform the conversion. Also, you can perform the Batch Migration as well, it has a date filter option. so, you can perform the conversion for selective emails.

Conclusion: In this post, you have found all the details about IMAP Settings of the Telstra mail account or you can watch the demonstration video in which we have described the backup process of Telstra mail. Just follow some simple steps you convert emails from your Telstra account to any other File Format/ Email Client.

Hi there, I have an iprimus email I am trying to use & recently just got Starlink Internet. I am using Microsoft outlook on Windows Pc. It wont allow my outgoing mail to send using Port 25 so I changed to 587 port. It shows me all emails have been sent, yet they are not being received at the other end??? I can receive email fine using Port 110. Can anyone suggest what I am doing wrong? Cant get onto Support at Starlink, Microsoft said its up to iprimus server settings, Yet iprimus say to use Port 25?

It is possible that your ISP (Starlink Internet) is blocking outgoing connections on port 25, which is commonly used for sending email, to prevent spam. This is a common practice among ISPs to prevent spam and other email-related security issues.

In such cases, using an alternative port like 587 is recommended, as you have already tried. However, some email servers may require a specific port to be used for outgoing email. In the case of Iprimus, they may require port 25 to be used for outgoing email.

Thank you so much for taking the time to make the suggestions. I had a very frustrating few days trying to work through the problem. I returned to my testing this morning and found that it now works, in so much that when I send an email from the Outlook client, not only do the emails say they are sent but they also reach the recipient ! I was contacted by iPrimus tech support who made some suggestions to do with the outgoing server details but they were unable to resolve the issue - in fairness to them though, because I was able to successfully send the emails when NOT using Starlink, there was little they could do. I am still waiting on a response from Starlink support !!

There is an important piece of information missing from iPrimus's detail on server setup, in that most ISPs block port 25 ! What they don't advertise is that port 587 should be used as an alternative. Starlink definitely block port 25. Telstra's Bigpond service (my previous ISP) also blocked port 25 a few years ago so my setup always was 587.

So my issue is now resolved and emails are sending reliably again. Unfortunately I have no idea why they stopped and now that Starlink see my issue has passed, they may never advise ! Also worthy of note is that I was using the options for delivery receipt to try and assess whether emails were getting to the destination server. Now that I have it working again its pretty obvious they were not working anyway !

Had this problem on Webmail the past month. All emails blocked, starting with attachments and then spreading to mail without attachments. Mail was sent from the mobile phone for a while, now all mail is blocked from there as well....

Also eM Client Diagnostics test below, where everything tested ok and sent and received an email via my Telstra Bigpond mail acct and back to my Telstra bigpond mail account ok via eM Client with no spam rejected messages.

Did you contact the provider? This is something on their server that is the cause. Most will not permit you to send a message with the same from and to addresses, as this is a tactic used by spammers.

You would then need to get back onto Telstra support & explain you can only send to specific email addresses with the Telstra SMTP server & tell them the email acct SMTP settings you are using, and the spam errors you get bounced back.

Got feed up with the whole thing. Need to get some work done. So I have made the move the Outlook. Everything is working just fine. Makes me think it is an EM Client Issue.

Thanks for all the help.

Eureka! I unplugged my modem for a while, plugged it back in, and now it seems to be working. At least a message (new, not a reply) does show up in my Sent Box. I remembered today that a Centurylink Rep suggested last time I had a problem, that I unplug and plug once every week or two so that I always have the latest software. I will have to start doing that regularly.

That means you don't have to use Bigpond.com webmail interface! You can check your emails using other email programs (like Mailbird, Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird). Using desktop email programs will make you more productive and your email will always be available, even offline.

The short answer is that IMAP connects to your email providers' server and is used for receiving email while SMTP is used for sending mail to other servers.

IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) is a protocol that requests that your email provider will save all of your messages and folders onto its own servers. This way, whether you are using an email client or webmail, you will be able to connect to your email account and view anything you have received because it's always stored on their server.

STMP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is the protocol for sending emails out of your account to other destinations. It enables your email client to connect to the server of your provider to send outgoing mail, especially to other servers.

Yes. Mailbird uses IMAP or POP3 to connect to most email providers. Mailbird's technology can detect the server settings automatically when you enter your email address.

If it is unable to detect the settings, you can set up your email manually by entering the details your provider has listed for their server settings: like the IMAP or POP3 Port and IMAP or POP3 Security.

You will also need to enter the username and password you have assigned with your email provider.

You can think of the 'port' like an address number. The same way that an IP address identifies the location of a computer, the port identifies the application operating on that computer.

There are a few common port numbers, always use the recommended settings to configure your email server to Mailbird.

If it is important to you to save space on your desktop, or if you're worried about backing up your emails, select IMAP. This means that your emails will be stored on the server of your email provider.

POP3 will download your emails to be stored locally and then delete them from the server. This will free up space on your server, but if anything happens to your local storage, those emails won't be available online. If you are comfortable exclusively having a local copy of your files, POP3 is a viable option.

Read this article to learn more about their features and differences.

If your old emails are still available in your account, they will automatically be imported. IMAP protocol syncs your emails and folders with the email server, making it possible to manage your emails on any device that is connected to your account.

Once you add your Bigpond.com account to Mailbird, it will grant you access to your emails immediately, no further action is required.

Note: If your emails are from your local server, it won't be possible to import them because of IMAP protocols.

Mailbird cannot ever read any of your personal information. This includes your emails, attachments, and account passwords. Mailbird is a local client on your computer and all sensitive data is never shared with Mailbird or anyone else.

I am trying to setup my bigpond email account with Outlook on my Windows Laptop. It just will not work. I am pretty sure I am putting in the right settings.... imap / the right incoming and outgoing server (not sure about the ports though), but find conflicting advice on ports.

@undermine, thank you for your reply. I think i may have posted in haste and in a bit of a panic but I ended up finding out how to do it albeit about 3 hours after searching. It wasn't easy to find and there seems to be conflicting procedures too.

Can you post what steps you took to resolve this as I am trying to set up for a friend and using either windows mail or outlook from 365 it refuses to work, windows mail finds a bunch of settings and says its completely successfully but when you go to rend and receive it says your settings are out of date and it doesnt get any email or send any.

Finally got Bigpond working again in Outlook 365 after an on and off 10 months struggle when it stopped working and kept asking for password as above:

This is what worked (after changing password in Webmail, not sure if that made a difference). Instead of going straight to the Add Account method, go to:

1. File Menu, Account Setting, Manage Profiles;

2. Email account, New, Manual Setup;

3. Should default to MS 365, I used default entry of imap.telstra.com, enter password.

MS365 Outlook Contacts and Calendar (from bigpond email) won't synch with IPhone Contacts and Calendar.

A Telstra Platinum Technician tried to download 'I Cloud for Windows' and got the following message

..... "Setup can't continue because Outlook isn't configured to have a default profile. Check out settings and try again".
