EARTH DAY SOLUTIONS EVENT
Benton County Courthouse, 120 NW 4th St, Corvallis
The 2021 Planet Palooza celebration of the Earth continues in front of Benton County Courthouse. Participate in Part 2 of a FREE all-ages event that can increase the environmental, physical, and mental health of our communities. Virtual and distanced in-person activities include Eco Surveys, Resource Table, Chalking for Change (a community chalk-art project), Solutions Sign Line, and more. ECO SURVEY: Forms are available at https://bit.ly/OutdoorScienceEcoSurvey
or at the Resource Table. Spend 15 minutes observing your surroundings, record observations of weather and wildlife on the form, and submit it to a public database. The information you contribute can be used to improve environmental conditions and ultimately create a better future.
CHALKING FOR CHANGE: Chalk, templates, and materials will be available at the Resource Table so you can use art to express yourself and ideas related to the theme Healthy Planet = Healthy People.
SOLUTIONS SIGN LINE: Raise awareness and inspire others to take action! Participate by creating a sign with solutions to our environmental, economic, social, and health crises. Display it to oncoming traffic at 120 NW 4th St to promote healthy choices and habits. Participants in the Solutions Sign Line must be masked, socially distanced, respectful, and always have at least 1 eye and 1 ear on traffic.

SCIENCE OF CLIMATE CHANGE: An interactive Zoom presentation at 7-8 pm Pacific Time on the causes of recent changes in climate, environmental impacts, and solutions. A 30-minute presentation by Dr. Andreas Schmittner followed by an open discussion.
