Hello team,

Belatedly, here is the recording of our February 17th meeting for those interested in viewing, https://media.oregonstate.edu/media/t/1_bobcb403.

The Minutes/Agenda shared document are featured in the video. Everyone is encouraged to contribute to this – before, during or after. In particular, if you are a project lead and were not able to provide an update to the document before the meeting, please do so after the fact. Anna, our steering committee liaison, relies on this to provide a monthly update to the committee, so it’s really important to give feedback, even if you’re not able to attend.

Which speaking of … we’ll be meeting again in two weeks on March 17th … how quickly time flies!  So, look over any action items that may pertain to you, and plan on attending. We’d love to see those of you who have not been with us at recent meetings!

Let me know if you have any issues viewing the video.

Take care and see you soon!

Dawn Marie

Subject: WPAT meeting this coming Wednesday!

Hello, WPAT members:

Our monthly action team meeting is this coming week on Wednesday, February 17, from 5:30pm-7:00pm. If you are a new member, please join us for an orientation from 5:00pm-5:30 pm.

1.     Due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, Dawn Marie will continue to host meetings via Zoom, a web-based conferencing system that most find easy to use. You have two ways to access the meeting room – use the below link, or call from your phone to a phone number with a meeting ID key.  See 4) below if you are unable to access Zoom on your computer or use the dial-in method.

Join Zoom Meeting:

·       Via Browser – https://oregonstate.zoom.us/j/97865895660 > Password 287321

·       Via Phone Dial-In – Meeting ID >  97865895660

+1 971 247 1195 US (Portland)

+1 253 215 8782 US

+1 301 715 8592 US

Want to test your computer or device audio/video in advance of the meeting? See this helpful article  from Zoom help center.

2.              Here is a link to the WPAT Minutes/Agenda. Prior to the meeting, please:

a.        Review the agenda template, and add (or remove) items.

b.     Please indicate at the top of the agenda whether you plan to attend. If you won't be able to attend, provide a detailed update regarding your project(s) in the agenda linked above.

c.        Have this document open on your desktop at the time of the meeting.

3.              Dawn Marie will act as the facilitator (if someone else doesn’t raise a hand), and we’ll need a dedicated note-taker. We encourage everyone to have the agenda open on your desktop at the time of the meeting – use this to follow along, and add updates as appropriate.

4.              For those members who cannot participate in the live Zoom meetings due to technology issues, we have thought about you!  We have a couple of suggestions if you still want to be involved in the meetings:

a.              Dawn Marie will be recording the monthly Zoom meetings and will be sending a link to the recordings to the WPAT Google group email addresses after the meetings. If you wish to provide feedback, you can access the Google Doc (see the link above) and add your comments to the minutes. If you want the team to see your comments, please send an email to the Google group (waste-prevention--corvalli...@googlegroups.com) indicating you have added information to the Google Doc minutes.

b.              You also may follow along in the Google Doc of the current virtual meeting as the minutes are being typed by the note-taker. You also may ask questions or make comments directly in the Google Doc. The note-takers will notice if another individual is adding notes to the minutes -- especially if you are typing in the section of the minutes where the current topic is being discussed -- and your questions or comments could be addressed during the meeting.

We hope to see you on Wednesday!
