Everyone,
We are excited to announce that registration for the Fall 2022 Master Recycler Class is now open. We sent the below press release to the media yesterday. Please share this information with anyone you think might be interested.
Master Recycling class application is open for Benton and Linn County Residents
Corvallis, OR., — Benton and Linn County residents are invited to apply for a 9-week Master Recycling course that will teach participants the ‘hows, whats, and why’s’ of recycling, materials management, and waste reduction. Presented by Republic Services and Oregon State University’s Materials Management department, the Master Recycling course is returning after being suspended in 2021 due to COVID-19.
Those interested should visit bit.ly/3kzH242 to apply to the class. Participants will meet from 6-8 p.m. via Zoom most Tuesdays between October 4 and December 6. The class will include a tour of OSU’s sustainability efforts on campus, Coffin Butte landfill and the Pacific Region Compost Facility, the largest compost facility of its kind in Oregon. Participants will have weekly assignments and are asked to complete 30 hours of community ‘pay-back’ hours after the course to complete their certifications.
