to waste-prevention--corvalli...@googlegroups.com
Benton Habitat ReStore is in the process of establishing a tool lending library at its Philomath/Corvallis location. This is a community-based project to make tools accessible to all, providing a shared resource for sustainable living.
By borrowing instead of buying new, we prevent waste, lower costs, foster skills, and build connections. We believe that access to tools shouldn’t depend on income or ability to pay. The fee to join the tool-lending library will be based on a sliding scale, which is yet to be determined. If you are interested in helping bring this project to fruition, please contact Greg Fitzpatrick at fit...@peak.org.
Our home in Philomath, Oregon is located within the traditional homelands of the Mary's River or Ampinefu Band of Kalapuya. Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya etc. Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to reservations in Western Oregon. Today, living descendants of these people are a part of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Community of Oregon and the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians.
