SUM FUN EVENT & LPMS FUNDRAISER
Monday, April 11 @ 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Want to know more about Oregon’s whales, including one of the most endangered orca populations in the world? From 6-7 pm, Colleen Weiler will discuss how to help protect these “wolves of the sea” that have human-length lifespans, grandmother-led groups, and complex culture. Before the presentation (5-6 pm), get creative and make fish out of trash to reduce plastic pollution. Afterwards (7-8 pm) find participants with a logo sticker to learn more about 500 Women Scientists Corvallis and our initiatives. Outdoors (with heated seats!) at Common Fields (545 SW 3rd St, Corvallis) & livestreamed at https://www.instagram.com/500womenscientists_corvallis/
With each purchase of delicious food and drinks, more money will be donated to The Pride PTO as part of an all-day (11am - 8pm) FUNDRAISER FOR LINUS PAULING MIDDLE SCHOOL.
