Dear Friends of Sustainability,
Hope you had a great Earth Month! Connecting with our Earth can be done every day, by cultivating a
more-conscious, less-wasteful relationship with our food. We do this by recognizing that every plateful represents significant
terrestrial resources... from nutrients in soil to energy
required to grow, transport, and store it, to
vast amounts of fresh water, human labor and capital (including
your grocery dollars!).
TO THAT END, IT'S KITCHEN CONFESSIONS TIME!
We're pleased to announce the latest blog of the Coalition's No Food Left Behind program:
"Wasting Less: There's an App for That!" (part
one) -- a modest compilation of smartphone tools, along with
some favorite
non-app tools (we call 'em "old school") -- to
help you
and your family eat more, waste less, and save more money at home. This makes blog #36... wow!
Note: We don't claim to be product eval pros, but we hope you'll
find useful digital assistance for your daily food shopping, food prep
and food storage routines. We'd love to hear about your experience with these or other apps, and other thoughts on this topic! Just leave your comments at the end of each blog, on our Facebook page, or by responding to this email.
