Inventor Nesting 2019 is a new feature that allows you to optimize the use of material by creating a layout of nested parts from an assembly or a part. You can then export the nested layout to a DXF file or a 3D model for fabrication. To use Inventor Nesting 2019, you need to have the Product Design & Manufacturing Collection license and install the Inventor Nesting Utility 2019. Here are the steps to activate and use Inventor Nesting 2019:
Inventor Nesting 2019 is a powerful tool that can help you save material and time by creating efficient layouts of nested parts. In this article, we will show you how to activate and use Inventor Nesting 2019, a new feature that allows you to optimize the use of material by creating a layout of nested parts from an assembly or a part. Inventor Nesting 2019 is part of the Product Design & Manufacturing Collection, which gives you access to a range of tools for design, engineering, and fabrication. Whether you are working with sheet metal, wood, plastic, or composite materials, Inventor Nesting 2019 can help you reduce waste and improve efficiency.
To use Inventor Nesting 2019, you need to have the Product Design & Manufacturing Collection license and install the Inventor Nesting Utility 2019. The Inventor Nesting Utility 2019 is a separate application that integrates with Inventor 2019 and adds a new tab on the ribbon called "Nesting". From this tab, you can create and manage nested layouts, as well as export them to DXF files or 3D models for fabrication. You can also create toolpaths for your machine using HSM if you have it installed.
There are two ways to create a nested layout in Inventor Nesting 2019: starting from an existing assembly or part, or creating a new nesting template. If you start from an existing assembly or part, you can right-click on the top-level name in the Model panel and select "Create Nest" from the context menu. This will open the Nesting tab and add the selected assembly or part as a source to be nested. If you create a new nesting template, you can go to File > New > Nesting Template and then add sources (parts or assemblies) to be nested from your project or from your computer.
