Select Crane Sales recently delivered a 2015 Liebherr LTM 1130-5.1 to American Crane in New Hampshire. The LTM 1130-5.1 offers a compact size, 160 ton capacity, 197 ft. main boom and 35 to 62 ft. jib. "We chose the LTM 1130 as an upgrade from our 120 ton," said Mike Lesniak of American Crane. "The 160 ton class fit perfectly in our current fleet of 40 ton, 110 ton and 265 ton."In anticipation of the delivery, American Crane has already been quoting spring projects with the addition of this capacity in mind. Greiner Industries Inc. recently took delivery of its new Demag AC 300-6 from Empire Crane Company. Greiner wanted to add a 350-ton unit to its fleet because of the long main booms this class is equipped with. "The Demag had the best main boom charts and we thought it would be the best option," said Dan Haulman, Greiner crane division manager. The ALL Family of Companies is beefing up its crawler crane offering in a big way with the purchase of a new Liebherr LR 1800-1.0. The high-tech heavyweight has an 880-ton capacity, 663 ft. of hoist height and a maximum radius of 498 ft. The employees of German company Neeb received three new Grove all-terrain cranes during a handover at the Manitowoc factory in Wilhelmshaven in November 2020. The family business from Wuppertal chose a GMK3060L, GMK4100L-1 and GMK6300L-1 to expand its company fleet. "We took delivery of a GMK5150L almost a year ago and have been very happy with this strong and reliable crane. Gary Lane has been named manager of North American sales of Link-Belt Cranes, effective Feb. 1, 2021. Bill Stramer, senior vice president of marketing, sales and customer support made the announcement at Link-Belt's headquarters in Lexington, Ky. Lane is a 15-year veteran of the crane business and is well respected among crane industry professionals. He originally joined Link-Belt Cranes as a district manager in 2008 covering the central United States, and he has spent the last nine years heading up the crane sales efforts for Link-Belt crane dealer General Equipment and Supplies Company Inc. Jerome "Jake" Liptak, one of the co-founders of ALL Erection & Crane Rental Corp. and a pioneer in the crane rental category has died. He was 83. With his brothers Mike and Larry, and Mike's wife, Marvine, Mr. Liptak co-founded the company in 1964.
