Important - Friends of WASO.

Dear Parents,

 

A message from the friends of WASO,

 

We are trying to restart the Friends of WASO again and need some help to get things moving. There are lots of different little jobs that need doing, and the more people who are able to help for an hour or so, the quicker it all gets done. Previously this was mainly done by Chris and Derek but it's not fair that they do so much going forward if others can help out too.

 

We need people for the following 'behind the scenes' jobs which can mostly be done on Wednesdays while the rehearsals are on:

• Uniform shirts ordering/sorting/issuing
• Music sorting/cataloguing
• Tuck Shop - we would like to start a slightly larger one than at present, with drinks as well.

If anyone currently sits in their car on a Wednesday, there is a room available for us to use to relax in opposite the hall where Concert Band rehearse - we can also use this for the uniform and music sorting.

Thank you all, and please think about what you may be able to do to help. All money made by the Friends goes back into the bands to buy more music, stands, stand covers, percussion and the like, so your young people are the ones who benefit.
