Dear Parents, WASO members,
This Wednesday 21st Jan there are no rehearsals for Wind band, Concert band, WASTO & WAYSE.
Introductory band and WYO will still be on as normal!
All those attending the residential at the weekend there will be a meeting, taking place 5:15 - 6:15 in the concert hall which you will not be required to bring your instrument or music for, just yourself. We look forward to seeing you all then.
A message from the Friends of WASO
Happy New Year and welcome back to all our performers and their families to a new term of music-making! We are looking forward to continuing to support the music team over the coming term.
Warm room during rehearsals
A number of parents and family members stay onsite during rehearsals. We have booked a room at Henry Beaufort in the Prague Building to give you a warmer alternative to a cold car - please see the attached flyer for information.
Music sorting
There’s an ongoing project to inventory the sheet music owned by WASO, which means going through each set and putting the parts in order to see if any are missing. Many of the WASO Friends Committee members do this in the warm room during rehearsals - might you be able to lend a hand? No music-reading ability needed, and any extra children are welcome to join in!
