Dear Parents and WASO Members,

There are just two rehearsals left this year before our concerts on 1st and 2nd July. Please note that there will be no rehearsals on Wednesday 1st July due to the concert taking place that evening.

Please find below the key information for our upcoming summer concerts.

To ensure rehearsals run smoothly, students must arrive at least 10 minutes before their scheduled rehearsal time to allow for signing in, setting up, and being seated ready to play.

Friends of WASO

Help on Concert Nights

Thank you to all who have already volunteered for the summer concerts.  The response this week has been fantastic!  If you've not got to it yet it's still not too late - more help is still needed on both evenings, especially on Thursday 2nd for the bands, so please do see if there's anything you can do to help out.

Polo Shirts

New and pre-loved polo shirts will be available for the next two weeks (17th & 24th June), so please check if your child has outgrown their current shirt so they can be kitted out ready for the end of year concerts.  Any clean, outgrown shirts will be gratefully received by the Friends on Wednesday evenings.

Raffle Prizes

Contributions are being collected every Wednesday during rehearsals until the concerts - please pass anything on to a member of the Friends or your ensemble director.

Lost Property

There is an increasing collection of lost property in the WASO cupboard.  Much of it was collected after Avon Tyrrell in February, some from the spring concerts and some from Wednesday evenings.  The random haul is in the cupboard, so please ask if you are aware of anything you've lost so we can try and reunite you with your items.

It will also be on display:

- at the concerts

- during audition evenings

After 15th July it will all be donated to charity
