WASO Summer Concert 2025 Information.

Dear Parents, WASO members,

We are down to the last two rehearsals of this academic year. Please can you make sure you are in attendance and arrive promptly to start on time.

Tickets for the concerts can be brought via the following links:

Raffle Prizes - would be greatly received. Please give to Chris or leave with Jamie down in the concert hall.

We are still looking for some chaperones for the concerts, if this could be you please do email me wa...@hms.hants.gov.uk, you will be needed from the time of the rehearsal until the concert to keep a watchful eye over the children whilst they are waiting to rehearse.

The rehearsal schedule for the concerts is as follows:

Wednesday 2nd July - WASTO,WAYSE, WYO

SIGN IN ON ARRIVAL.

Rehearsals:

5.30pm WASTO Rehearsal
5.55pm WAYSE Rehearsal
6.25pm WYO Rehearsal
6.55pm Joint Rehearsal

7:00pm Clear Stage

7.30pm Concert

Thursday 3rd July – Concert band, Wind band, Intro band

SIGN IN ON ARRIVAL.

Rehearsals:

5.20pm Concert Band ( Percussionists please arrive at 5.00pm to set up )
5:45pm Wind Band
6:15pm Introductory Band

6:30: Clear Stage

7:00pm Concert

You may bring a packed tea if you require one.

Please also remember that excellent standards of behaviour are expected at all times at WASO events.

The rooms allocated to you at Thornden Hall are to meet in. Please remember not to touch any school equipment in these rooms and to leave them free of litter.

If you feel the need to bring something to occupy yourselves whilst waiting around, then please do so. You can wait in your changing rooms or sit quietly in the concert hall whilst rehearsals are ongoing. There will be chaperones to help you with this.

Parents, once you have dropped your children off for rehearsals you will need to leave the site and return in time for the concert the venue isn’t open to the public whilst we are rehearsing, doors open at 7pm.

Here is a reminder of the uniform requirements for WASO Concerts.

Boys

WASO polo shirt, black trousers (not jeans, black socks, black polished shoes).

Girls

WASO polo shirt, black skirt (appropriate length please) and black tights or black trousers (not jeans), black socks, black polished shoes).
