Dear WYO families,

As you have no doubt already been told by the players, I will sadly be stepping down as WYO conductor at the end of this term.

New conducting opportunities have meant that I have had to make the difficult decision to give myself some more time to prepare for rehearsals, and to see my family.

It has been an immense privilege to conduct this amazing orchestra for the past seven years, with so many highlights.

I am delighted that Martin will be continuing and we’ll let you know as soon as possible who will be joining him on the WYO team. I know that the orchestra will continue to thrive. As a WASO parent myself, I’ll still be at concerts - in the audience for a change.

I really look forward to a fabulous concert in two weeks and seeing you all then.
