Hey guys!

I hope everyone is having a delightful spring break, I know I am.

Firstly, I would like to give a super duper congrats to our very own Jeffrey Kallen on being elected to the position of assistant director of the Sports Club Bar (SCB). This is a huge deal, so if you see Jeff, make sure to congratulate him!

Secondly, we are starting up outside practices after Spring Break. Get psyched!!!!! We will be starting practice on Sunday March 25th 1-3PM at the WashU courts. Following that, we will be having practices Tuesday nights 6:30-8:30PM and Sundays 1-3PM. These times will be relatively constant, but still watch out for updates.

And finally, our Sectionals tournament recap. We had a great time and placed fourth! The top three teams get to go to Nationals; however, we are going to go to Nationals B, so whateva.
We had a delightful ride to KCity where Ali learned the marvels of caramel chews. I think she is now obsessed.
When deciding where to go for dinner, I proclaimed, "I'm not that hungry." To which Matty B replied, "She's still going to eat the most out of all of us."
We got to the bbq restaurant and I ordered a 'small' dinner of a rack of ribs and proved Matt B correct in his assumptions. This is where we established the game Mallory v. Food. I demolished that rack of ribs (a little help from Matty B). Matt B and I had a creepily effective method for eating our food. In addition, we got the children's menu and made a creepy evil farm.
We then continued to the hotel where we learned that both Ali and Lori are afraid of hotels (how odd is that?). I'll admit this hotel was a little creepy as it did have a room which resembled a 'murder' room.
That night we watched Slumber Party Massacre, an old school scary movie. It was not really all that scary, but we still all had nightmares about it. This movie was complete with boobies (Matt B sent pictures to the studying Ben, no worries), a pedo van (much like the van Lori used to drive), a crazed killer in a denim jacket, and a creepy locker room. Much to the dismay of Ali and Lori the locker room at the tennis court looked 'exactly' like the locker room from the movie, so they refused to go in there alone. On one of our journeys to the locker room I grabbed Lori's ankle and freaked her out more than a little bit.
Saturday we swept our pool and continued into the semi finals.
In the semis, we lost a squeaker to Iowa...3 lousy games! We also barely lost the third place match against Mizzou.
In our traditional Club Tennis Steak N' Shake run we learned that Matty B is not very good at geography when I was talking about Nationals B and said, "Yeah, Arizona's great!" Matt responded all confused, "I thought you said the tournament is in Tucson." Apparently he thought Tucson was in Oklahoma...awkward.
Ali, Lori, and I had quite an interesting ride back to school. Ali thought she saw an elephant in the field and then discovered, to her amusement, 'PEARLS!' in the car's side pocket.
Overall we played some good tennis, placing fourth in the Missouri Valley, but most importantly we had a killer time. (pun intended)

I hope everyone is enjoying spring break! See y'all soon!

Thanks,
The Mallory
