***                 outing                                   ***
***********************************************
    When: Monday, February 16th
          6:00 pm until 9:00 pm
Where: County Farm Park Ann Arbor, MI (42°15'17.7"N 83°42'04.2"W)
NOTE: Meet In the south portion of the parking lot.

Purpose: AMPteam Outings take place once every month all year
long, rain or shine.  We gather at a common location, set up and
operate portable HF, VHF, and Microwave stations.  This provides
an opportunity to hone our skills in rapid and efficient
deployment of Amateur Radio stations in the field in what are
          oftentimes non-optimum conditions.
Readiness: Regular practice results in better preparedness to respond to
deployments in any time of emergency.  By participating you
will improve your skills for events such as OHR, POTA, SOTA,
Red-Cross Shelters, SHTF, etc.  And this better prepares us
for the annual "Field Day" event.
Go-Kits: Our "Go-Kits" get better and better each time we do an
AMPteam Outing.  We get better at *not* leaving items
behind and assuring we have everything we need to make a
deployment.  A certain "competition" naturally occurs as
team members strive to create the best Go-Kit, ever! :)

Having something to set up is *NOT* a requirement.  Simply come on out to
mingle, exchange ideas, learn, and to just have FUN!!!  When 8pm rolls around,
we all check in to the ARROW Monday Night Net on the 146.96 MHz repeater.

P.S.  County EC's please feel free to distribute this message to your
respective team members.  Everyone is invited to participate.

Greetings Ron.

Name here is Steve Bellner and the call is W8TER.

I'm with Toledo Mobile Radio.

I'm not sure you are aware but we hold the same event here in Toledo at the same time as your group... the 3rd Monday of the month.

Our event was inspired by your group and we try to follow your guidelines.

We call our event Outdoor Unified Training or "OUTings".    https://w8hhf.org/outdoor-unified-training-outings-for-toledo-area-mobile-radio/

We try to make contact with your group by phone text and coordinate  to make contact with the ARROW group on 7.213.00MHz. or; whatever frequency that may be usable.

Just wanted to introduce myself.

We operate under our club cal W8HHF.

73,

Steve/W8TER
