New Jersey's Clean Energy Program™ and its Refrigerator/Freezer Recycling Program are in pursuit of the oldest working refrigerator in New Jersey. Holding on to that old energy hog will now actually pay you back!

The owner of the oldest fridge recycled wins the title of New Jersey's Oldest Fridge, and will receive a gift card good towards the purchase of an ENERGY STAR® appliance(s) up to a $1,000 value, to be used at any New Jersey Sears store.

If you recycle your old, working refrigerator between now and September 30, 2012, you will be entered in the contest. Simply schedule an appointment and we'll provide free pick up and handle the recycling of each refrigerator. We recycle nearly 95% of each refrigerator including metals, plastic, oils and foam insulation. Every participant receives a $50 incentive for recycling their refrigerator and will be entered to win the title of New Jersey's Oldest Fridge.

To schedule a free pick up call 877-270-3520 or visit NJCleanEnergy.com/REFRIGERATOR to schedule a pick up online. Restrictions apply. Visit the website for more details.

The winner will be announced October 2012. Don't miss out!

*Refrigerators and stand alone freezers must be in working condition and must be between 10 and 30 cubic feet using inside measurements. New Jersey's Clean Energy Program™ contracts with JACO Environmental, an appliance recycler, to pick up and recycle the units. New Jersey residents must own units being recycled. Limit two units per residential address. Additional restrictions apply.
