Hi - I have a Samsung front load washer, model # is WF229ANG/XAC.  A couple days ago, I went to put the clothes into the dryer from the washer and saw that the washer had a 3E error code.  I unplugged the washer for a few minutes, plugged it back in and restarted the cycle.  A few minutes into the cycle it again gave a 3E error code.  The code happens when spinning or trying to spin a load of clothes.

I removed the back plate from the washer and tried to do a rinse cycle with no clothes in the washing machine.  Even then, without the weight of wet clothes it still gives a 3E error code.  From watching the back of the washer with the metal plate removed, I can see that when the motor is turning or trying to turn the drum sometimes it will slip or clunk.  It appears the motor is working fine.  This looks and sounds like a bearing issue to me but I am not really sure as I have not changed the bearings in a washing machine before.  I could provide video of what it is doing if that would help...   also, the other issue is that when I put my model # in it says it does not recognize the model #.  Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Kevin,
Have you seen the repair videos that my son and I have done on YouTube?  Here is one that closely relates to your machine:  https://youtu.be/SIB2nN7CcOQ

I do not see your model in our list either so lets work together to get you what you need.  When you take the machine apart, send me the specs on the bearing sizes and the seal and we can priority mail the parts to you asap to fit your machine.  Once we have the sizing then I can add the model to our system and you will be able to order the repair kit here but lets get it taken apart and confirm what is happening first.  Order kit here:  http://www.yellowvanhandyman.com/washerrepair.aspx

At least it is not catching on fire!

Regards,
Jerrod
