gibson front loader won't spin/drain

trying to get a definitive diagnosis....or best guess lol

This happened yesterday. Loud grinding noise- bearing type 2/3 way through wash.

However drum spins by hand with no noise or bad bearing signs....spider bracket seems okay

drum turns on wash cycle no problem.

Water won't drain out.

Would a bad drain pump prevent machine from spinning?

Hello,

You may want to try and remove the filter and drain tube cover to first drain the water and then check the filter trap.  That area probably needs a good cleaning as some "surprising" things can accumulate there such as powder detergent.

As far as the noise goes, those are usually either the bearings or the spider.  As you said the spider seems ok, then my best guess would be the bearings.
