Hi Jerrod,

Thank you for making the video.  We are hoping to be able to repair our stacked washer/dryer with the bearing and seal replacement parts you sell.  We were wondering if you could provide any suggestions about dismantling this machine (Maytag Neptune Super Stack SL-3 front load Model # on dryer is MLE2000AYW and Model # on washer is MHS2000AWW but we were told that it's actually MHW2000AWW for the washer).  Since you do sell the parts for MHW2000AWW we thought we'd give it a try because we would really like to get it working again.  We would really appreciate your help regarding this.

Thanks for your time,
John and Kathleen

John and Kathleen-
It is not actually that much more difficult to repair a stack unit.  You just have to detach and remove the dryer from on top of the washer and then just follow the instructions on the videos.  It is really not that tough at all.  You may need to get a little help from a third person to get the dryer down but the dryer is about 1/2 the weight of the washer so it isn't that difficult.  Go for it!

Hi Jerrod,

Thanks for responding to our email last week.  We just ordered the bearings and seal package from you today.  We got one of the bearings out last night- it was in pretty bad shape.  We also noticed that the bearing separator (the piece that goes in between the bearings was very weak, cracked and just fell apart- we actually cut it out with a snips).
Do you know where we could get a replacement for it Maytag model MHW2000AWW.  Called Home Depot but they said they didn't have it.  Perhaps it has another name or maybe we could use a substitute.  We are really hoping to have this machine working again.  Thanks again for all your help - we learned so much from you and seeing the inside of this thing.  So long.

Kathleen,
I have seen the bearing spacers in there before.  They do not serve a function during operation.  I believe they may have something to do with the assembly at the factory.  You can leave it out when you put the machine back together.  The one I am talking about is a spacer that is slightly bigger than the shaft and sits between the two bearings.

Thanks,
Jerrod
