Hi everyone,
I was active in this group when the bearings went on my Whirlpool Duet.  Thanks to the replacement bearing and seals that I purchased from Jerrod, the washer's been rock solid since.  Whenever I finally need to replace the washer, I'm confident that it won't be due to the bearings!

I'm hoping that someone can give some advice regarding the drain pump.  Basically, I replaced the original drain pump after over a decade of heavy use, in 2018.

It's had much lighter use since, with all the kids leaving home.  Nonetheless, the replacement pump failed today, after only a few years of light use.

The pump motor itself is fine, however the plastic impeller is no longer fixed to the shaft.  (I'm almost tempted to use JB Weld, but I know that will probably only last a few months).

It's a common item among several brands so if you go shopping on Amazon or Ebay, you'll find hundreds of them being offered, as low as $20 plus change.  On the other hand, on the official Whirlpool site, they'll be happy to charge you almost $200, but there's real way of knowing that it's the same quality as the original, or better.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a replacement drain pump that is likely to have a long life?  Maybe even one with an improved design or stronger materials?  I'd happily pay more if I thought the replacement was a higher quality.

Thanks for any suggestions,

TM
