The rotating wash drum is harder to turn by hand than before replacing the parts. Will this burn up the motor?

Jerrod,

   I took your advice. I used lock tight and did not fully tighten down the nut that holds on the big pully on the back. The drum turns now and I can hear that seal squeeking a little when the drum stops, or starts in motion. It is also harder to turn than before I replaced the parts and reassembled the washing machine. My question is will the extra friction burn up my motor or brake the belt?
