Working on a Whirlpool WFW94HEAW front-load washer. Pretty sure the bearings and seal are shot. I’ve got the plastic tub out and the clamps off, but I cannot get the two halves to separate. Kind of crazy... looked like it’d be one of the easiest parts of the job. Loaded the seam with penetrating oil and will try again tomorrow... Anyone have tricks for splitting the plastic halves?

Hello,
Thread the nut or bolt on a bit to the end of the shaft to protect it. Turn it over and drop it directly on the concrete (right on the nut or bolt) up about 1" from the concrete. Move it up to 2" and do it again. I have never gotten it above 6" when doing this and it will pop.
