Dear Group

Dear Teun and Stef in particularly.

As you maybe know, WSSCC is a membership organization. After a re-registration process last year, we have now almost 700 members from 97 countries, and additional 400 who have registered for the Newsletter only. During the registration process, members can click areas of interest, equal to the topic pages on our website.

Overall 119 members have clicked interest in “climate change”.

To get to know the members better, and also  as  manager of the climate change WG,  we have initiated a small survey among WSSCC members  last week around the topic of climate change (see below).

We are aware that some of  them have only general interest in CC, while others are maybe even real experts, who we could engage stronger not only for our membership work, but also for our “ClImate Change and WASH”  Working Group.

For example we have asked them if they would like to share their work, and as well if they would contribute to resource development.

As of today, 39 members have filled in the survey,( which I think is a pretty good outcome for a round mail) and next week we start to evaluate the results.

Then I will also share some highlights and insights with you!

Best greetings

P.S.: You can read more about WSSCC membership  here and maybe even register here to become one ;)

Subject: Climate Change and WASH- Quick and short survey to improve our collaboration with members on the subject

Dear Member,

We contact you, because in your membership profile you have clicked “climate change” as your area of interest. Overall there are 119 members that have the same interest as you!

Climate change is a thematic priority area for WSSSC.  Together with other sector partners and individuals, we have initiated in 2009 a Working Group on Climate Change and WASH. This group is currently managed by our technical officer Ina Jurga.

We would like to engage stronger with you on the theme of climate change and WASH with you by facilitating exchange among the members, and encourage your contributions. In the same time we would like to identify your current gaps in knowledge and capacity, in order to improve our services to you and the sector.

To have a better understanding, we have set up a small survey. Click here to start, it won’t take more than 5 minutes to answer the 10 questions. We would be grateful if you could complete the survey before 25th March.

But if you have any ideas, comments and questions beyond the survey, feel free to contact us directly!

We will inform you in due course on the results of the survey, as well we will  posting it on our discussion board to start discussion.

We hope you participate!

Best greetings,

Astrid Salcedo and Ina Jurga
