Hi! colleagues,

I am a new member on Climate Change and WASH and currently working in the Pacific region. Currently we implementing WASH projects in Kiribati and Vanuatu and both these are some how related to climate change. In Vanuatu we focus on building community resilience through food security, DRR and management, and water security. Under water security we will focus on adaption measures based on what the communities will come up in their action plans. Generally rainwater harvesting and increased storage facilities at a suitable location would be the main. Hygiene promotion is also included. Sanitation awareness will be part but not the provision of facilities.

Similar is the case in Kiribati (outer islands and not in the capital) but there we will be working on more of strengthening water governance at the community levels, installation of RWH facilities and detailed mapping out of water resources (ground water lens, rainfall etc.). These are all related to climate change indeed.

In light of this I want to get involved more into this group so I could learn more and share what we do and achieve in the coming years.

Wishing you all the best.

Kind regards.
