Spring is here and Colorado has its 1st Major Doubles Tournament “BB2x2.” This weekend May 31st – June 2nd are the sand events @ The Island and next Saturday June 8th are the grass divisions @ Wash Park. See below for ALL the INFO.
Friday May 31st:
Dinosaur Doubles Sand at The Island
“Men’s Dino 80” & “Women’s Dino 80.” Combined age of you & your partner must be at least 80, the older you are the more points you get, old school rules, regular scoring big court etc. 4pm check-in, Finals ~11pm~
Saturday June 1st
Men’s & Women’s Sand Open Day 1
(These are the best of the best in our region)
Double elimination, match play all the way through the crossover. All play @ The Island, 8am-9pm.
Sunday June 2nd
Men’s/Women’s Sand Open Day 2 (FREE Beer/Food)
- 7th Place open division matches start at 9:30am/10am and continue all the way to the finals.
- All GRASS & SAND Beach Bash Participants registered before 5pm Friday May 31st will receive a FREE BRUNCH (3 Options below) & 1 free screwdriver/bloody mary on Sunday June 2nd, between 9:30am – 1:30pm.
- Island Benedict w/ Lump Crab Meat, Atop an English Muffin w/ a Pair of Poached Eggs & Hollandaise Sauce
- Spinach, Roasted Tomato & Feta Cheese Omelet
- Banana Bread French Toast
- FREE BEER during the 1st match on Sunday starting at 9:30am, until the 1st match ends (40-60 minutes), for ANY & ALL VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS!
- Build Your Own Bloody Mary Bar ALL MORNING - Featuring Absolut Vodka (Try the Absolut Cilantro Lime…Delish!) only $4! Also Absolut will be doing FREE samples between 12:30-2:30pm.
- Malibu (Island Spiced Flavor) – Free Samples from 3:30pm-5:30pm
- Breckenridge Brewery – Beer Sampling Table 3:30pm – 5:30pm (Malibu Island Spiced is amazing with the Breckenridge Vanilla Porter…Give it a try!)
- Open Division FINALS, Women @ 3:30pm, Men @ 5:00pm. Cheer on the best of the best on Island Center Court
Saturday June 8th
Men’s/Women’s/Coed Grass Divisions @ WASHINGTON PARK!
A/BB/B divisions. Lunch/t-shirt provided (don’t forget free Sunday brunch on June 2nd @ The Island)
Pool Play for 8-10 games then elimination tourney for the top teams.
Wash Park only permits 2 volleyball tournaments all year and this is one of them!
