Colorado’s 1^st Major Doubles Tournament is just around the corner, so get your game ready for Beach Bash!  This year’s tourney is Friday/Saturday June 1^st/2^nd for the sand divisions @ The Island and June 9^th for the grass divisions @ Wash Park.  Help us kick off the summer with great volleyball action.  See below for ALL the INFO.

Friday June 1^st:

Men’s & Women’s Sand Open Starts

Double elimination, match play all the way through the crossover.  All play

@ The Island.  Friday 1 - 2 rounds of play, start times staggered i.e. 6:15pm, 7pm, 8pm, 9pm etc.  No play after 11pm.

Saturday June 2^nd

Men’s and Women’s Sand Open Continued (Play starts night of June 1^st)

Double elimination bracket continues all the way to the finals, scheduled for approximately 8pm.

Dinosaur Doubles Sand at The Island

“Men’s Dino 80” & “Women’s Dino 80.”  Combined age of you & your

partner must be at least 80, the older you are the more points you get, old school rules, regular scoring big court etc.  Approximately 4pm check-in.

For June 2nd, The Island will be open to all for the BASH! The men’s and women’s open division finals will be on center court (between 7-9pm), to see who’s the best in Colorado. Followed by the DINO 80 Finals. Look for great drink specials all night.

Saturday June 9^th

Men’s/Women’s Grass Divisions

NEW this year the tourney will be @ WASH PARK!  A/BB/B divisions.  Pool Play for 8-10 games then elimination tourney for the top teams

• Spring Grass Coed Challenge: Lowry Field, Saturday June 23^rd over 50 coed 6’s teams.  Sunday June 24^th 350+ coed 4’s teams.  Current VOTR grass league teams are free, nonleague teams can sign up, go to www.votr.com for at least 8-10 games, shirt, BBQ and beverages.
• Steamboat Doubles: July 6^th, 7^th & 8^th.  500 teams competing in 15 divisions, over a great weekend in Beautiful Steamboat Springs, CO.  www.SteamboatDoubles.com for all the info and to register.  FORMS are READY!
• Reverse Coed 2x2: July 14^th, Wash Park, registrations available shortly at www.votr.com.
• Sports Oasis Classic:  July 28^th, Open divisions at The Oasis and 9 grass divisions in the park, forms available shortly at www.SportsOasis.com.
• Breckenridge Doubles: August 10^th, 11^th & 12^th.  15 divisions of play, 500 teams, playing ball over a great weekend in the amazing town of Breckenridge, CO.  www.BreckenridgeDoubles.com for all the info and to register.  FORMS are READY!

2x2 SAND SUMMER LEAGUES:

To help celebrate The Oasis’ new deck we’re offering Summer Doubles Leagues on the 3 outdoor courts 3 days a week.   Women’s 2x2 on Monday nights, Men’s 2x2 on Tuesday nights & Coed 2x2 on Thursday nights, up to 3 divisions/levels each night.  The new league will START the week of June 4^th and run through August!  The usual doubles league offered during the winter is 8 weeks, but for the summer we are running a 12 week session!  It will be your normal 8 weeks of league, 2 weeks for tournament play and two bonus weeks just in case of bad weather.  To Register go to www.SportsOasis.com before the last 5-7 spots are gone!
