Dear all,

I have heard that there's an agency in Banda Aceh called Nazava Waterfilters.
The company is run by a Dutch guy called Guido van Hofwegen.

They provide clean, easy to use and affordable water filters all over Indonesia.
In the past Nazava has cooperated with Peace Corps, World Vision, Help Germany and IOM. For a reference you can contact Mr. Konrad at kc...@iom.int or 08126988118.

Or contact Guido directly at gu...@nazava.com or 081360446295

I personally use these water filters as well and I can heartily recommend them.
Check out the website at www.nazava.com, or watch a short introduction at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCEwf0Nq0ds

Warm regards,

Lisa

After Padang hearquake last year, Palyja (Jakarta water operator) brought 2 portable water treatment plant to padang,. These are now maintain by PDAM Padang. If necessary they could be used in mentawai island, capacity 4 m3/hour. They need trained/slilled operator.
If necessary we might be able to help again on training people to run it.

Dear Papak Amuriddin,

As i mentioned to you in my previous mail, PDAM Padang already have experience with these portable water treatment plants.
They operated the 2 of them during several month last year.
Please first of all check with PDAM, they should be able to install them and run them again.
If they need some advice for installation they can get in touch with PALYJA.

Best regards

Hi WASH cluster members.

My name is Nanang S Dirja from Islamic Relief. I was getting involved in
WASH Cluster West Sumatra at the first month of its operation. Currently
I am in Pakistan to support WASH activity in IR Pakistan.

Congratulations for keeping up the Cluster work for tsunami Mentawai
response.

I am interested to know further about the specification of the filtration
plant you mentioned in below email (4 M3/H). Here, we have installed some
WTPs with smaller capacity and operated by the community.

Luc, to whom should I contact for this?

Thanks

Dear Wash people,

Regarding the previous posts:

We (Nazava Water Filters) are ready to provide water purifiers to the Mentawai or Merapi area.

Nazava Water filters produce water free of bacteria and ready to drink. The most affordable water filter is only 75 000 IDR and can filter 7000 litre of water before the filter candle needs to be changed. A new filter candle costs 50 000 IDR. Discounts apply for NGOs.

We just shipped our first load of Nazava Water Filters to Padang for use in the Mentawai. Nazava water filters are assembled locally in Banda Aceh using Dutch technology.

For more information please take a look in the attachment our website
or www.nazava.com (indonesian)

or on youtube:

Kind regards,

Guido van Hofwegen
