Swing Development, a company based in San Francisco with office in Warsaw, focusing on partnering with top Venture Capitals in Silicon Valley to help their portfolio companies move forward with their products, is looking for: 

Scala Developer

What will you be doing?

Every day you will be creating complex applications serving multiple purposes. Some day it might be an API server for high traffic, high availability mobile services, some day it might be a big data analytics engine crunching huge amounts of numbers. 

You will have huge creative freedom and ability to influence the project, so you will take ownership and responsibility for what you do. 

You will work with technical managers in Poland as well as directly with engineers from San Francisco.

You will have a lot of chances to develop your programming skills as well as learn a lot about how tech business is done in the US (if you will want to).

We score 11/12 in Joel Test (we don’t employ testers).

This position is open for both experienced and junior developers. 

Required

• Good knowledge of Scala and Java, sbt. 
• Experience with other programming language will be a plus.
• Preferably at least 2 years of experience as server software developer.
• Knowledge how to make well-designed APIs.
• Experience in creating client-server applications.
• Experience with Typesafe Reactive Stack, AMQP based solutions, Apache Storm, Twitter Finagle, Consul.io, Akka or Spray will be a big plus.
• Good command of English. 
• Sense of humour.
