Message from Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel (MARSP):
Updates have been announced to the Medicare enrollment process for Michigan Public School Employee Retirement System (MPSERS) members who are turning 65. Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel (MARSP) reminds MPSERS members that they should contact the Social Security Administration about three months before their 65th birthday to sign up for Medicare if they are not already receiving benefits. In order to receive coverage through MPSERS, subscribers must have Part B. Upon receipt of the Medicare card, contact the Office of Retirement Services at 1-800-381-5111 and provide them with the Medicare ID number, which will allow for MPSERS and Medicare to coordinate benefits.
