Hi everyone,
As many of you know, a group of us have started a new bike racing team called
540Cycling. The mission of 540Cycling is to build a cycling team where
people of all abilities feel welcome and included. No matter what
level you are at, racing should be both challenging and fun!
So, with that in mind, we are putting together a new group ride on
Thursday nights from Bristow, VA (between Manassas and Warrenton).
You don't need to be a member of 540Cycling to attend. I'll
describe the ride, and if it sounds good to you, come on out and join
us!
Here's the deal ... this is a fast but friendly ride. It is not
unusual for team rides to end up being a knock down, drag out race.
This will not be one of those rides!
There will be fast in
sections to help you get faster and get in good training miles. There
will also be several regrouping areas along the way. You will be
challenged and will get faster. It's a group ride ... we will ride as
a group and finish as a group. The goal is to have a great ride where
everyone has an opportunity to improve in a positive environment.
Here are the ride details:
Where: Marsteller Middle School, 14000 Sudley Manor Drive, Bristow, VA
When: Thursdays at 5:30 PM
Length: 26 miles
Ride Map: http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/united-states/va/bristow/793302954037
My Cell Number: 703-966-9002 ... call me if you are running late!
If
you have any questions about the ride or about 540Cycling, you can
contact me at jnus...@540Cycling.com ... we are still putting together
our website at 540Cycling.com ... you can see our team kit there and
soon will be able to get info about rides and races there too.
I hope you will consider joining us!
