540Cycling Development Series at Vint Hill 7/26, 8/1 and 8/8

Hey WCC folks,

I just wanted to let you all know about the races we are putting on up at Vint Hill in a couple of weeks.  Our series is designed for new bike racers.  So if you wanted to give racing a try, this would be a great way to do it!

If you have never raced before, you don't need to have a racing license ahead of time to race in men's Cat 5, Juniors, or the Women's Cat 4 categories ... you can buy a one day license at the race.

If you have not purchased a WCC jersey from the shop, this would be a good excuse to do it :-)

The 540Cycling Development Series at Vint Hill in Warrenton, VA is
coming up Sunday, July 26, Saturday, August 1 and Saturday, August 8.
We've got a great 1.2 mile course dialed in, sponsors on board, and
premes are piling up. Here's a link to the course map through

The mapmyride software gives you the option to view the elevation for
the course, which shows a nice little hill about halfway through the
3-turn route. You can also zoom out to see that Vint Hill is only
about 10 minutes from Route 66 and 30 minutes from the beltway.

True to our development series concept, we're offering three full days
of racing just for Juniors, Men's Cat 5's, Men's Cat 4's and Women's
3/4. If you qualify for the 35+ races, you can double up and get more
of the race starts or points you need to work toward your upgrade.
We're offering a discount to those who choose to race all three weeks
(although it is not required) and points will be tallied toward a
series champion in each category!

In addition to the great racing, Vint Hill offers a beautiful public
pool right next to the course that is open from 11:00am-7:00pm so
bring your family for some racing and fun and help 540Cycling build a
new tradition of bike racing in Fauquier County!
