The Bass Coast Writers would like to extend an invitation for anybody interested in fiction writing to the Minds Shine Bright Light and Shadow Free Thematic Writers Workshop.

Light And Shadow - A Free Thematic Writers' Workshop

Join us for an exciting and inspiring writers' workshop at Inverloch Community House on Thu Feb 29, 2024. This in-person event will kick off at 1:30pm (Australian Eastern Daylight Time).

Discover the power of words as we dive into the fascinating world of light and shadow. Whether you're an experienced writer or just starting out, this workshop is designed to ignite your creativity and help you explore new perspectives.

During the workshop, we'll discuss tips and tricks for competition writing and explore the topic of light and shadow through prompts from photos and quotes, and from working through the light and shadow thematic wheel. Our knowledgeable facilitator, Amanda Scotney will guide you through the process, providing valuable feedback and tips to enhance your writing skills.

This workshop is being run in conjunction with the Minds Shine Bright Seasons - Light and Shadow writing competition, but you don't have to enter the competition to come along and join the fun. MSB writers Sarah Rasmussen and Gayle Beveridge-Marien will read excerpts of their successful entries into last year’s Seasons competition.

Don't miss this opportunity to connect with fellow writers, and share ideas in a supportive environment. Expand your literary horizons and let your imagination run wild!

The Bass Coast Writers was founded in Inverloch in 2003 to support local writers, foster literary creativity, and to promote learning through friendly discussion and ad hoc writing exercises during the weekly meetings.
