Hello everyone. I'd like to use "warp10-ext-influxdb" plugin to be able to integrate with influxdb, fetch data and do analytics in warp10. I was following this link (https://github.com/senx/warp10-ext-influxdb) to proceed through installation of the plugin. However I was unsuccessful in making this command "gradle shadowJar" work. It's throwing error, I'm attaching the screenshot. Can someone please help me with this? Also it would be great if there's any documentation that would detail the installation procedure with the help of screenshots such that it would help novices like me. I've searched for the solution extensively, unfortunately I couldn't find any. Many thanks in advance.

Hi,

did you change the current directory to warp10-ext-influxdb prior to executing gradle shadowJar? From you screen shot it doesn't seem so.

For your info there is an update which should come soon for this extension with the support of influxdb 2.x on top of 1.x

Also know you can download a pre-built jar from WarpFleet at https://warpfleet.senx.io/browse/io.warp10/warp10-ext-influxdb

Mathias.

Thank you very much Mathias for your suggestion. I cloned a git repository into my desktop, changed the directory to warp10-ext-influxdb and executed the gradle shadowJar. It threw a new error, the screenshot is given below:

I checked in google, and there was a suggestion to check if the current version of gradle supports the building of jar. As shown below, i've the latest gradle version.

I've tried to install using the command, it threw the following error

Please guide me. I hope I'm not making silly mistakes, I'm a novice here.

Thanks and Regards
Samdani

Hi, I presume that Warp 10 is not under "/path/to/warp10" on your computer.

Where do you install it?

Best regards,

Thanks for pointing that out Xavier. My bad, I realized that I didn't install warp10 at all (I was trying to install extension straight away). So I started with the installation of Warp10 (https://www.warp10.io/content/03_Documentation/02_Installation/01_Standalone) and I came across this issue:

What changes do I've to make changes in the .sh file to match the location?

Or do I have to uninstall java, and freshly reinstall it in /path/to/warp10? Please guide me.

Thanks and Regards
Sam

What's the default password for user 'warp10'? When I was trying to install warpfleet by using 'sudo npm install -g @senx/warpfleet', it was asking for password.
I don't remember creating any password for the user 'warp10'.  Thanks in advance.

warp10 user is created once you bootstrap warp10 fhe first time. No password is set.

Seems for warpfleet, you can install it with your normal user and so for sudo if you want to install warfleet globally, the password is the one of your user. You don't need to run it as warp10 user as far as I understand it.

Just so you know, a new release (1.0.0) of the InfluxDB WarpScript extension has been published on WarpFleet. It adds support for pushing data to InfluxDB and for issueing flux queries.
