Hi all,

I have a dataset that I aligned in etomo and to get a better model/remove junks I removed some tiles in the fine alignment step (using 1,28-36 so there are a bunch of bad tilts).

When I use ts_import_alignment I see all the views are imported into the xml files and the use tilt section is True for all of them.

Is there an easy way to fix this?

Do you recommend I write a code to look at taSolution.log and edit the xml files to change those views to False in use Tilt section?

Best,
Hamid

Hey Hamid,

Tilt deselection is not handled particularly elegantly in WarpTools (no GUI to make it easy) - the GUI is incoming but no firm timeline to share yet, until then: script!

Cheers,

Alister

Thank you for the quick response Alister. I wanted to make sure I am not missing anything here, the script (with some help from github copilot) turned out to be easier than I thought!

After this I just ran ts_reconstruct and the "shadows" of bad views seem to be gone!

Best,
Hamid
