ProductSTAR WARS Jedi: Survivor
Platform:Xbox Series X
Summarize your bug Bug occurs when playing through Coruscant rooftops. After meeting Bode you need to raise the bridge which triggers his 'assistance' mechanic. On xbox series x this causes the gameplay to freeze. I have unistalled , rebooted , reinstalled and same issue occurs each time. No way past it. Unplayable.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Coruscant rooftops on Xbox Series X.
What happens when the bug occurs? Entire game stops. No motion. Game music continues to play.
What do you expect to see? The game will prompt you to press RB (xbox) but nothing will happen. Entire game is frozen.
I tried this on Xbox series X and it did not work for me. Also the post above about disabling tutorials does not apply to Xbox as that feature isn't there. I have tried it on two different Xboxes and reinstall the game twice... Breaks in the exact same place each time
i've been fighting on the bridge for forty-five fucking minutes now. i kept killing minions as they rushed to me and then mola ram jumps down. i hit him as much as i can but he takes no damage and stuns me. this went on forever before i finally came online to see what i was doing wrong. apparently i'm supposed take swords and throw them at the white support ropes. except all the minions in my game had arrows. finally i figured out that i have to do some sort of switch between indy and willie in order to get the swords. so i did that. but now, it won't let me throw them at the support ropes. the hooks holding them on are smoking and it won't put a target on them. will someone please help me? i'm going insane. this game is rated for ten year olds and i can't even figure this one scene out in an hour.
I hate that part of the game with a passion, it's anti-gaming at it's very worst. I figured you need to switch characters and hit him, but half the time he moves too quickly or won't hold you at all. Took me about 20 minutes and about 30 deaths to get through
For starters, if "Bridge Mode" is enabled on your Ignite gateway, you can only have one device (which should be a router) connected to an Ethernet port. Rogers will only allow two devices to obtain a public IP address; one of those will be the Ignite gateway itself (even if it is in bridge mode, it still has services running internally that require IP connectivity) and the other will be your router... and anything else will cause all devices to "fight" to get IP connectivity and cause the other devices to intermittently lose connectivity.
The Ignite gateway is a fast device and can move data at gigabit rates. Have you tried leaving Bridge Mode disabled on the Ignite gateway, disabling WiFi on the gateway, putting your eero mesh into bridge/AP mode, and connecting your Xbox to the Ignite gateway via Ethernet?
Regarding latency, I can confirm that it is higher than it has been in the past. Looking at some old stats, I used to see ping times to 8.8.8.8 averaging 11 ms, and now I am seeing average RTTs of 23 ms.
It's hard to say what "expected" ping times are because they can vary. Rogers does not provide any performance guarantees for residential Internet but, if I remember correctly, they consider anything under 100 ms to be acceptable.
You did not mention this before. You should not have ever changed the setting from Bridge Mode, since that is the correct setting when you use the Time Capsule with a modem/router or gateway device....(another WiFi router).
In other words, the device that you might call your "modem" is really a modem/router.....not a simple modem. Post back with the make and model number of the device that you call your modem if you are not sure what you have.
When you changed to DHCP and NAT settings on the Time Capsule, you saw an error message about Double NAT.....which you did not tell us about. Port Mapping will never work with a Double NAT error on the network.
Change the setting for the Time Capsule back to a Router Mode of "Off (Bridge Mode)" under the Network tab in AirPort Utility. Then, work on getting the Xbox working with the "other" router that you have, and the Time Capsule will pass through the correct settings.
Life will be tons easier if your router has a feature called Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) which will automatically open the correct ports that Xbox needs. Unfortunately, Apple routers do not include this feature.
That being said, some users have been able to come up with settings that will allow the Xbox to work on an Apple router, but the advice varies on how to do this. Basically, it's a trial and error process, with no guarantee of a working solution.
When the grandkids were here for Christmas and wanted to play on their Xbox interactively over the Internet, the settings listed under Option 2 in this support document by forum expert Tesserax did the trick on my AirPort Extreme.
Generally, I know what I'm doing most of the time network wise, but it took me a few hours to get things right. If the instructions look like a different language to you and you know a good IT guy, my opinion would be that it would be well worth the money to have him/her set things up for you.
Another option.....probably the simplest......would be to use the old D-Link router and set up the Time Capsule in Bridge Mode to work with the D-Link to provide your WiFi signal. Once you have things working, you can turn off the WiFi on the D-Link, or simply not use it.
Your old D-Link might not be good enough.. but I recommend you do in fact replace the TC as the main router. It is not necessary to buy expensive router.. eg Linksys WRT1200AC is less than $100 with a very powerful processor although I personally prefer the Asus series with much better firmware but starting at near twice the price for decent ones. You can plug the TC into the UPNP standard router for Time Machine.
Tell me more about this bridge mode. My Time Capsule was set on bridge mode in the DHCP Settings, but I had to change that when connecting to the Xbox (that problem was displayed and solved before I got to the DNS part). What do you mean with putting it on bridge mode? And how do I do it?
Long story short my ISP doesn't support bridge mode on their provided modem/router combo unit even though there is that option to put the unit into "transparent bridge" mode. I have followed the steps on here to put the consoles and R1 into the ISP provided unit in the DMZ. That still gives me double NAT on the wireless connected Xbox one X and wired Xbox series X. When I try to put the provided ISP modem to "transparent bridge" mode I have no internet connection at all. Can anyone with some knowledgeable experience assist me on this issue?
If you take a look at the internet/WAN setup on the Arris does it have any details about the connection such as whether it is using PPPoE, VLAN etc? It may be you require one of these to be used in the R1 (hopefully not VLAN) to get a connection with it in bridge mode. You mention you put the consoles in the DMZ? What IP address specifically did you put in the Arris DMZ? You'll need to use the one from the R1 System Information page to successfully prevent a double NAT
I started from scratch again and apparently I missed one step last time I put the R1 on the modems DMZ. That step was rebooting both R1 and modern. That seemed to fix it and now I have an open NAT. Will monitor it for another day and see if the issue comes back. Thanks for all the help guys!!
I have only a mobile hotspot as a source of internet. I would like to use that to get my Xbox One online. The Xbox does not accept the mobile hotspot directly so I want to use my TP Link router between them. Receive the WiFi, send out Ethernet, no other function needed.
All the different types of bridges have got me completely lost. It seems the WDS bridge is not accepted by the Xbox because of a DNS servername issue? I have no idea what that means so I am actually just hoping for someone to tell me: get this package, set up that bridge and go for it!
