Franklin — For three nights in a row, federal law enforcement agents have been out in DC communities jeopardizing the safety of everyone here. Yesterday Trump announced that he has more plans in store for DC, and today he shared more hints about what that announcement might be. Whatever he's going to announce, we know no one in DC has asked for this. Join us TOMORROW at 10 AM for a rally and press conference to make it clear DC belongs to the people here, no one else.       We do not know what Trump will announce on tomorrow, but we know it will have nothing to do with DC's safety. If Trump cared about DC's safety, he would stop the mass firings of tens of thousands of federal workers in our region. If Trump cared about DC's safety, he would stop the kidnappings of our friends and neighbors. If Trump cared about DC's safety, he would stop cutting Medicaid, and SNAP, and education. Trump doesn't care about safety in DC. He cares about getting control of the capitol city. That's a strategy authoritarians throughout history have used to silence dissent and accelerate their agenda. DC belongs to the people here, not Trump.
