Greetings Neighbors and W5COE Members,

It is extremely hard to believe but two years have already gone by and it is time to begin the nomination process for members to join our executive board for the 2016-2018 school years.  We are extremely excited about the opportunity to welcome new members and board members to be a part of our exciting board.  It is a unique time for education in the District of Columbia and our board offers members numerous opportunities to interact with families, students, and the numerous schools in Ward 5.

Currently, we have the following positions open for nominations: President, 1st Vice-President (Membership and Outreach), 2nd Vice President (Policy and Advocacy), 3rd Vice President (Community Partnerships), Recording Secretary, Treasurer and Public Relations Officer.

To nominate yourself for consideration, you must be a current member with current dues paid, write a short narrative as to why you would like to be considered, attend at least 3 monthly meetings once elected (3rd Wednesday at Lamond-Riggs Library), and participate in quarterly board meetings.

Please submit all nominations to ward...@gmail.com by 5pm on June 13, 2016.  Voting will happen at our monthly meeting on June 15, 2016 at 6:30 pm at the Lamond Riggs Library.
