Dear Friends,
I know you must be tired and taking a well deserved break today.
Yesterday was a remarkable day in Karnataka. You showed that a determined bunch of people can make a mark on our electoral politics. Over the last few months, each of you and your teams demonstrated how election campaigns ought to be run and set a standard for all future elections in Karnataka. Loksatta's
spirited campaign has been noticed all over the country and the credit goes to you - the courageous sons and daughters of India, that came forward to contest elections, fully aware of the challenges involved in doing so. I applaud your courage and conviction.
Each one of you is a true leader and an inspiration. I am proud to be associated with you and look forward to working with you in building this platform for a better India. Ultimately, we will be successful and each of us know what needs to be done to move forward constructively.
While we wait for the results, I'd like to remind you that every single vote cast for Loksatta is a step forward in the right direction and we must celebrate the success.
Please convey my best regards to your family members for their support and encouragement.
warm regards,
JP
Please convey this message to your volunteers:
Friends,
Politics is supposed to find solutions for our problems in society. Unfortunately politics itself became the problem - our journey is going to be long and some of us at it for many years realize that we have a long way to go. I'm sure you've noticed this as well.
I've seen the enthusiasm and spirit of camaraderie during my visits to Bengaluru and it gives me lot of hope and confidence that we are on the right track and we won't let India down.
Thank you for your passion and commitment for better India and for good politics. Each one of you and your family members deserve all the kudos for your contribution to our democracy!
I eagerly look forward to meeting you all soon in Bengaluru.
