Rain Barrel & Rain Garden Workshop at the Ward Museum
Where: Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art, Salisbury University
When: Saturday, September 26th 9:30 am - 12:30 pm; pre-register by September 18th
Why: Watershed management is the first defense for home-owners and builders. Help protect against floods, provide groundwater recharging sites and reduce contamination of precious water resources including the Chesapeake Bay.
Learn the basic concepts of rain garden construction, uses and design. Build a rain barrel to sustain plants during drought and conserve water.
This workshop will be led by Sarah Toman, Education Director from Environmental Concern.
