Whata pretty red top, love the bell sleeves and perfect with the white jeans. My recent favorite spring trends and splurges include white Bermuda shorts, cropped white jeans, white lace off the shoulder top, black espadrilles, coral wedge sandles and sunglasses. Loving everything about spring :).

Meet Zara, a former patient at GOSH International. Zara and her family recently visited GOSH International Private Care for her annual check-up, celebrating an incredible 5 years cancer-free! We caught up with Zara, alongside her dad David, mom Sana, and sister Isabella, to chat about their annual visit to London and festive traditions.

Dad: Being back at Gosh is something that brings mixed emotions. We got much more positive reasons for visiting now. But it's not difficult to be back here and remember the difficult times when Zara was being treated here. We nearly lost her.

Mum: But at the same time, we remember, the love, the hope, the outcome, obviously, and the amazing place that GOSH is. It's where all the hope had started and as David said, we almost lost Zara. But the second we got to GOSH, we saw all the love that the nurses and the consultants were giving us and all the hope that we got. It's just a different place. I keep telling people about it, and how amazing this place is.

Dad: We will be in London for a few weeks before Christmas and always visit Covent Garden and Oxford Street for the decorations and Winter Wonderland for the experience. We will be back home for Christmas. But December 19th is the anniversary of Zara ringing the end of treatment bell and we always have a Christmas and bell party where we invite all of our friends over for a massive dinner.

It was early May in the northeast, and we were sitting on the rusty swings of a neglected playground on the wrong side of the beach at night. We had just snuck out of a painful high school performance of "The Music Man" and were hiding from our friends, seeking solace in the sandy safe haven.

It was a brisk 55 degrees outside, and I was underdressed in my ripped denim and slashed T-shirt, but I was suddenly warm and short of breath. The fact that not a single entity outside of the cocoon of her and I knew about our spiral into the sh*t storm of teenage love and sex only added fuel to the fire of attraction that burned between the two of us.

It was one of those life-changing kisses that starts out soft and shy, but quickly becomes aggressively sexual and passionate, only to become sweetly soft and shy all over again. You can feel the wind shift and the earth rotate. You feel so vulnerable that you're not sure if you want to run in the opposite direction screaming or if you want to just melt in your partner's arms and stay there forever, immersed in newfound tenderness. You suddenly question if maybe God is real after all.

Every night, I spoke to her on the phone, hidden beneath the thick comforter exchanging secrets, talking, talking, talking until 2 am, 3 am, 4 am. Sometimes we fell asleep connected through the airwaves of our house phones.

I was heartbroken to lose my first stab at intimacy. I was heartbroken to not have mind-blowing kisses in our secret spot every day before the school bell rang. But I was mainly heartbroken because I had learned a painful life truth: the girl who I thought authentically loved me, loved the idea of me, not the real me.

She loved the person I was on paper. She loved the idea of being with the creative, passionate, artistic girl, but she didn't want the multifaceted person who lived underneath the roof of those labels.

After too many times of falling into this trap and finding myself bending myself to try and fit into the "box" in which my partners placed me, I finally decided enough was enough. The only way to get out of the cycle was to examine the patterns weaving their way into my relationships.

When a person would tell me she loved me on the second or third date, I thought it was because she genuinely saw something in me that was stirring up intense feelings. I stupidly believed that love at first sight existed.

We all have a front, a cover with which we arm ourselves to survive in the blistering world. I'm not going to march into the office the first day of a new job and express my slew of vulnerabilities, traumas and fears.

From my experience, they are often thrown off when they discover that, yes, even though I love fashion, I have deep rooted issues with my body and have been in therapy for an eating disorder. That even though I'm fun and impulsive, I have a f*cked up past that haunts me. That my creativity is rooted from a desire to feel connected because sometimes I feel so disconnected from myself.

It doesn't mean that the outer me is fake. I am an authentically fun-loving girl who loves to party and create art. But I'm also a multifaceted girl creature, who is many things besides the girl in the red lipstick who makes lewd jokes.

This is the most dangerous part of all. When I would start to open up and reveal the hidden parts of my partner, I could sense this isn't the "Zara" she signed up for -- so I stepped into a role she wanted so she wouldn't leave me.

Hi Abigail, great question! Typically, dry lentils do cook within 20-30 minutes, but when acidic ingredients like tomatoes are present, the cooking time can be longer because the acid affects how the lentils soften.

Really tasty! Ive made it several times and always comes out great. My only question is the cooking time. 30 minutes is never enough for me, I always need to cook it for at least 45 minutes to cook through the potatoes.

Hey there, Floortje, thanks for sharing your experience with the chili! In case it helps, chopping the potato more finely or turning up the heat a touch can help it cook quicker. So glad to hear you're enjoying the chili! ?

This chili is easily one of my favorite recipes. The sweet potato really is the perfect addition, and the spice blend is on point. I often struggle with protein intake and this recipe is a delicious and easy way to incorporate more into my diet. Absolutely love!

Really tasty and the combination of ingredients is amazing. For me personally, I'd like it to be a little bit heavier on the spices, so that's what I'll be doing next time. Thanks for this lovely recipe!

I find it very strange that noone mentioned in comments that sweet potato doesn't cook to tenderness in canned tomatoes. The acidity stops the potato from cooking. I boil it separately in water before adding it to the rest of the ingredients.

I've already made this recipe twice, because after the first time I'd made it I then craved the delicious taste for the next two weeks! :)

I switched up or left out some ingredients, that I didn't have at home, different each time I've cooked this, but it still tasted amazing at the end.

Thank you so much for this website, it is now a go to place for simple, quick and tasty recipes for me, eventhough I'm not a vegan.

Hey there, Jagyoseni, one reason we don't include grams specifically is it can often vary. For example, it may be more if vegetables are larger or less if a dish simmers for longer and liquid evaporates. If we had to estimate, a serving of this chili may be around 680 grams including the toppings ?

This has been my go-to chili recipe since it was posted on your website. It is easy to scale down the salt, because my husband needs to eat low sodium, by making sure I get the low/no salt versions of everything. And it's so easy to keep the ingredients on hand for basically whenever- it's basic canned ingredients and pantry staples that last ages.

Love this recipe! I didn't have enough beans at home, so I added some chickpeas instead, and it turned out to be so delicious ? Now I have a bunch of ideas what to swap or add. Thank you for making me more confident and adventurous in the kitchen! ?

We're so thrilled to hear the chili was enjoyed, Maha! We've noted down the feedback for adding pictures to the comment section as well. Loved the spice! My husband accidently added more chili powder than was recommended. Haha. He's not a huge fan of beans so we replaced them with lentils. I've never had chili with a sweet potato, and we both really liked it. Turned out great! Toppings we added were avocado, coconut yogurt, and jalapeno. Sending our love from California!

This was the first recipe I tried from Pick Up Limes and it definitely did not disappoint! I made it in an attempt to convince my family that vegan food can be just as tasty (if not more so) than non-vegan food...and I think I was successful! So flavorful and comforting, the perfect cold weather dinner. If you live in the US, I recommend adding a bit of cayenne pepper to add some of the spice our chili powders lack.

Can not wait for full blown winter here in the South of the World. Today is the perfect day for this chilly. 2nd time I am making this. Again it is delicious and the warm comfort it gives on a rainy windy day.

I've followed the Youtube channel for years now, its been great to see the journey as well as enjoy the recipe and life tips that you share so simply! But I just had to leave a comment on this recipe. I cannot think of another dish that is so nourishing and wholesome(two words that suit Pick Up Limes as a whole :P) and yet bursting with so much flavor. This is fast becoming a staple at home, even the kids can't get enough! And its so versatile, can go with tacos/burritos and with so many different toppings. Keep up the great work and thank you so much for everything so far.
