I figured out how to sign into my ea account on my Nintendo switch but I can't play online. I looked and I don't think my ea account is linked to my actual Nintendo account with Nintendo online, just the specific player page that then lines up to it. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

If you're not able to play online, please get in touch with the live support team by submitting a help request here so they can verify that your EA and Nintendo accounts are properly linked together- this isn't something we can check for over the forums as we don't have access to your account details, but live support can review these details with you further and see what's causing any errors you're receiving.

You can verify if your Nintendo account is properly linked up to your EA account by checking the Connections page on your account here. If you see your Nintendo Online ID listed under connected accounts, that means everything is correctly linked together.

I clicked the link, there is no option for Nintendo!! There is Playstation, x-box, Apple, steam, Discord, Amazon, Google and facebook, but not nintendo? We have not been anble to play with friends online since purchasing this very expensive game. Could you please provide a hyperlink so I Can link my nintendo and EA accounts.

If you've not linked your accounts together yet, you can follow the steps here to get everything linked together. To play online with friends, you'll also need to be sure you have an active Nintendo Online membership.

I am in desperate need of help. I recently bought a Nintendo Switch and am trying to access online play. I always get an error message when I try to access online play. The error typically says something about my NAT type causing the issue. My T-Mobile router (Arcadyan KVD21) seems to have NAT type B. I was told that I could just access my router settings on my computer and enable UPnP. However, when I type in my IP address I do not see any router settings to change. All I see is connection status/quality and some gateway information. Basically all I see is exactly what is in the T-mobile home internet app. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Should I just get rid of T-Mobile home internet and get something else if I want to play games online?

@BekkiC your problem sounded related to double-NAT. Do you have a home Wi-Fi router plugged into your Arcadian gateway? If so, you will need to put the Wi-Fi router into bridge mode. Also, do other devices have good internet access?

So I do not have another router plugged into the gateway. I just have the one that t-mobile supplied as is. And my other devices have good connection. I'm wondering if using a wired connection might fix this? I was looking through some other users' posts that are similar to mine. It seems that most users who have this issue have NAT type D and they want type B. I have type B but it isn't working which is why I'm confused.

I was a Spectrum customer for 2 years and play Mario Party online with my friends, one of whom is a T-Mobile subscriber. I switched to T-Mobile internet on 12/29/23 and now we cannot play any Nintendo online games together. I can still play online with my friends who use Verizon and Spectrum Internet.

When online multiplayer began rising in popularity on home consoles in the early 2000s, Nintendo was one of the last major companies to implement it into its software. They didn't always provide the most reliable or fun experiences, but at least it was free compared to Sony and Microsoft's subscription-based services.

Nintendo would eventually start charging for access to online games when it launched Nintendo Switch Online in 2018. You'll need it to access online features for games like Splatoon 3, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and more. Fortunately, you can still play many games online without a subscription to Nintendo's service.

Updated on May 29, 2024, by Kyle Chamaillard: If you want to play something online with your friends but don't want to pay for a monthly membership, you can enjoy plenty of free Nintendo Switch games without a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online. We've updated this list to include a couple more titles worth checking out if you are looking for something new to play without spending a dime.

Disney Speedstorm is an arcade-inspired racing game with a roster of familiar faces from movies like Frozen, Monsters Inc., and Lilo and Stitch. Many of the tracks are set in iconic locations, like Andy's bedroom from Toy Story, so if you're a fan of Disney or Pixar, it's worth downloading Speedstorm to see all of these characters and locations come to life.

Whether racing alone, with friends, or against strangers online, understanding each character's unique abilities is the key to victory in most races. Speedstorm might not have gravity-defying tracks like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but it is an excellent alternative racing game for the Switch that's still receiving new content to this day.

If you don't feel like racing against your friends or fighting hoards of enemies together, Palia provides a much more relaxing experience in a colorful world full of cozy activities. Palia features a lot of similarities to games like Stardew Valley, Harvest Moon, and My Time at Portia, but it allows you to play in groups of four if you want to work alongside some friends for free.

Between cooking, exploring, and meeting the locals, there is so much to do in Palia that you could easily sink dozens of hours into the game without spending a dollar. The campaign is intriguing as well, so whether you like to follow a narrative or just goof around, Palia has something for everyone.

Warframe originally launched in 2013, and over a decade later, it's still going strong with an excellent community and consistent updates. Despite the dense environments and number of enemies on the screen at any given time, this third-person shooter runs surprisingly well on the Nintendo Switch, allowing you to easily immerse yourself in the gorgeous world of Warframe.

One of the best aspects of Warframe is how much freedom you have to customize your character to fit your play style. With more than 300 weapons to choose from and plenty of different modifiers, you could spend hours just experimenting with all the exciting possibilities. Warframe also supports cross-play, so you can play alongside your friends even if they don't own a Nintendo Switch.

My Hero Academia is an incredibly popular series that's been branching out towards video games since 2018. After the characters appeared in a couple of fighting games and found their way into Fortnite, they're back in a free-to-play battle royale that pits eight teams of three players against each other to see who will be the last one standing.
