Hi list,

I'd like to inform you that the first BETA version of the "warc-
browser" is available.
This "warc-tools" release also includes the Ruby wrapper on the top of
the "warc-tools" C API.

Please, have a look to "contrib/browser/readme" and "app/ruby".

Your feedbacks will be very welcome if you find something to improve
or bug to fix in the "warc-browser".

Regards
Y.

Thanks a lot - very exciting. I tried the warc-browser - got this (2. time after indexing the 1. time):
Locating warc files...
http://0.0.0.0:8080/
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "./warc-browse", line 61, in <module>
    main()
  File "./warc-browse", line 57, in main
    browser.browse( idx )
  File "/home/bja/warc-tools-read-only/contrib/browser/browser.py", line 111, in browse
    web.runsimple( web.wsgifunc(fn ))
  File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/web/httpserver.py", line 222, in runsimple
    server.start()
  File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/web/wsgiserver/__init__.py", line 851, in start
    raise socket.error, msg
socket.error: (98, 'Address already in use')

Does it use other ports than 8080 - "netstat -atp | grep 8080" shows nothing, so I should not have anything else running on that port

Sorry - I figured it out. I actually had utest/server running - I just wonder why netstat didn't reveal that one.

The warc-browser starts up fine now
